Explore Senegal through our tailor-made trips, designed by Didier and his team from Dakar. Each itinerary is crafted to reveal the country's wealth: migratory birds of Djoudj, mangroves of Saloum explored by pirogue, Diola villages of Casamance, dunes of the Lompoul desert, and the colonial heritage of Saint-Louis. Whether you travel with family, as a couple, or with friends, our circuits adapt to your pace and preferences. From a 10-day discovery trip to a grand 3-week journey combining the north, Saloum, and Casamance, find the itinerary that suits you and travel with peace of mind with an English-speaking local agency.
Choose your trip in Senegal
How to choose your trip to Senegal?
Duration determines everything. In one week, you can reasonably combine Dakar, Lake Rose and Sine Saloum. To include Saint-Louis and Djoudj National Park, plan a trip of 8 to 12 days, which also allows a stop in the Lompoul desert. If you want to add Casamance, with its Diola villages and Cap Skirring beaches, a 13 to 17 day itinerary is more comfortable, using the domestic flight from Dakar. Travelers wishing to venture to Bassari country and Niokolo-Koba should plan three weeks to avoid stringing together long driving stages.
Different types of trips
Our cultural itineraries explore Gorée, Saint-Louis and Serer or Diola villages, with meetings centered on griots and craftsmanship. Our adventure trips include hiking in Bassari country, pirogue crossings through the bolongs and nights under canvas in Lompoul. For family trips, we adapt distances and select lodges suited to children, alternating bird watching, Petite Côte beaches and swimming in the Saloum. Each format is customizable according to your pace and interests.
What is the best season?
The dry season, from November to May, remains the ideal window. From December to February, temperatures range between 22 and 28 °C on the coast, and it's also peak bird-watching season at Djoudj. March to May are warmer, especially inland. The rainy season from June to October turns Casamance and Saloum green but makes some tracks difficult. Our team adjusts itineraries based on your travel date, prioritizing areas best suited to your chosen month.
